Sea themed Printing at Bristol Aquarium

***Sea themed lino printmaking workshop at Bristol Aquarium*** (*£5 of each ticket price will be donated to the wonderful Windmill Hill City Farm) Learn how to create your own unique sea-themed lino prints in a friendly supportive environment with an ex- Art and Design teacher who is slightly obsessed with all things Aquatic! Spend 3 hours learning how to draw and then transfer a sea-themed image onto soft cut lino, to safely cut it out, and then hand print your carving using water based inks onto a blank card ready to take home at the end of the session to frame or give as a gift. During the session you learn about materials and tools, cut and print your chosen design. Location Bristol Aquarium, Anchor Rd, Bristol BS1 5TT Attendees should report to the front desk and they will be directed to the workshop venue (behind the Atrium) Duration: Each workshop is 3 hours long Morning Session: 10am - 1pm Afternoon Session: 1.30pm - 4.30pm Workshop cost £35 per person (£5 of each ticket price will be donated to the wonderful Windmill Hill City Farm) through the event organisers Create for Collab: Create for Nature (www.bristolcreatives.co.uk/events/2022/03/24/create-collab-create-nature) *Please note the workshop cost does not include entry to the Aquarium itself* Workshop size Maximum of 10 people - class size kept low so you get a more personal experience. Previous experience Suitable for beginners with no previous printmaking experience. Due to the carving equipment used, anyone 12 years or older can join the workshop. Materials and equipment Lino cutting equipment will be provided for each student to use on the day. A reasonable amount of paper and ink will also be provided.
