About
My name is Hannah Blowes and I create handmade designs from my workshop near Bude in Cornwall (UK). I have always been drawn to the ocean and have been very fortunate to scuba dive in some amazing parts of the world, which allowed me to view this breathtaking world from a totally different perspective, one that I had only seen from the surface or in documentaries. My artwork is inspired by my interactions with sea life and I hope to pass on my love of all things aquatic to you.

I trained as a Theatre/ Film Designer and then later spent 15 years teaching in secondary schools where it was magical to inspire my students with a love of creativity and skill based learning.

It was over this time that I learnt how to carve and my love affair with printmaking began. It has been an amazing experience to now solely focus on my art and delve deep into my own creativity, coming up for air (and tea) occasionally.

Each design is drawn, carved and printed by hand in my workshop in Cornwall using traditional techniques. As a result, each fine art print created is original and unique
Educator
I run workshops to allow you to develop your skills and confidence in print and design. Doing so also allows me to pass on traditional print making approaches and to satisfy my need to encourage and develop other people's interest and skills in art and design in general and printing in particular. I love teaching!
