Do I need prior experience to use a Submerge Art kit?
This is an educational product designed by an experienced teacher to take you from beginner, step by step through 3 projects, using 3 different types of lino. In additiona to structured learning the booklets have tips to self diagnose problems and resolve them.
Can I buy extra lino and tools identical to those used in the kits?
Yes all the lino, tools, inks, gel plates, polybock foam, handmade paper are available in my Submerge Art shop, in the Print Supplies section
What tools are included in the Lino Starter Kit with 3 projects?
Essdee carving handle
Essdee 5 carving blades (the most useable)
Essdee 10cm brayer
Essdee waterbased inks - primary colours black and white
These are the carving tools and inks found in all Submerge Art kits.
Replacement tools, inks and lino are available from the Print Supplies section of the shop
What types of lino are included in the kits?
Each kit has a selection of lino but I use and sell lino that I use in my professional practice and also in all my workshops. Each type has its advantages and is suitable for either printing or paper, printing on Fabric or both, normally without a press
Blue double layered, double sided easy carve soft lino
White Mastercut easy carve lino
Traditional hessian backed lino (this is fresh and flexible so is safe and easy to carve with excellent results)
Double sided thick Fabric printing white lino block
